IAM installing SSL : 400 MalformedCertificate Invalid Private Key.

While I’m trying to import a SSL for Amazon cloud in IAM account, I’m getting following error.

D:\IAM>iam-servercertupload -b mydomain.com.crt  -c gd_bundle.crt -k mydomain.com.key -s mydomain.com
400 MalformedCertificate Invalid Private Key.

This is because they contain the private key + an OID that identifies the key type.

Solution : Re-generate the private key that met the OID format.

#openssl rsa -in mydomain.com.key -out mydomain.com_new.key.

Installing SSL in IAM account again,

D:\IAM>iam-servercertupload -b mydomain.com.crt  -c gd_bundle.crt -k mydomain.com_new.key -s mydomain.com
Added new SSL.
